The Shanty is like a cozy cabin on skis! Enjoy this skid house for some great fishing and even better memories! We move our shack as much as we need to. This isnt a sleeper shack that sits in 1 spot all winter. Were constantly moving to stay on the fish. If you book multiple nights and have a bad first night than we can get you moved and try to find something better. You will leave your vehicle at Sand and Stars Resort, and any fish cleaning you need to do can be done there at the resort. There are 2 benches, one on each end of the shack that lay out into beds to accommodate folks that want to use the shack as a sleeper. If your planning on sleeping in the shack i think 2 adults will be most comfortable for this shack, if you want to add a 3rd adult you can bring a cott.

If your using the shack as a day rental 4 adults in this shack would be just fine.The shack has a 12V system that runs on solar, but we will include an extra battery and a generator as well so you have plenty of juice to run your lights and charge your phones etc.. during your stay! We can set up a small portable outside to act as an "outhouse" and to store any other gear you may have that you don't need to keep in the heated shack, like food coolers etc..

We will rent it out for any 24 hour period thats available, but if you need transportation too and from the shack 5-7am and 4-6 P.M. works best for us each day to get you out to the shack or back to the resort. We will do our best to accommodate you if that doesn’t work for you.

John is on the lake everyday all day, so we arent just dropping you off at the shack and forgetting about you. He is always around and will be happy to help if you need anything. He does run personal guide trips from 7-3 each day, but he will do his best to help you out as much as he can.

Ask us about including gear, or a snowmobile rental for an additional cost!
